Bee-Clean Moncton Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that this Bee-Clean office is situated on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. As we engage with this land, we are committed to respecting their traditions, supporting their rights, and fostering meaningful and respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
Bee-Clean Dartmouth Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that this Bee-Clean office is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, and Passamaquoddy People first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The Mi’kmaq have been the custodians of this land for thousands of years, and their deep connection to the land and waters continues to shape this region. We honor the rich cultural heritage, history, and contributions of the Mi’kmaq Nation and recognize their ongoing presence and enduring connection to the land. We are committed to fostering respectful relationships and supporting the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities.
